A secular community that celebrates life!
Join friends from Sunday Assembly Pittsburgh as we explore Meadowcroft Rockshelter & Historic Village in Avella, PA.
Less than an hour southwest of Pittsburgh, Meadowcroft Rockshelter & Historic Village is the first known site of human habitation in North America. In addition to the 19,000-year-old site, Meadowcroft also offers a view of rural life during the early “modern” settlements which occupied the land.
We will meet in the parking lot of Meadowcroft at 10:00 am (sharp), and explore the environs. Afterward, we will head to Fortuitea Café & Bakery in nearby Washington, PA. Fortuitea specializes in vegan and vegetarian fare, in addition to a variety of teas.
IMPORTANT:
Tickets for Meadowcroft should be purchased in advance at the link provided below. Adult tickets for Meadowcroft are $15 (kids are free during September).
