Join us for our Multimedia Meetup on Sunday, March 29, 3 – 4:30 PM! We’ll be at a NEW location which should be quieter and allow for better discussion – Panera Bread at 3401 Boulevard of the Allies.
You’re invited to explore the work and legacy of George Orwell in whatever way interests you most.
You may choose to:
- Watch the documentary film Orwell: 2+2=5 (2025)
- Watch the film adaptation 1984 (released in 1984)
- Watch the earlier 1956 film version of 1984
- Read Orwell’s novel 1984 (published in 1949)
Or, feel free to simply join us to enjoy a beverage and listen in on what is sure to be a lively and thought-provoking discussion. Both the novel and the films examine the nature of truth, facts, and power, and how they can be shaped—or manipulated—within society.
