You’re invited to explore the work and legacy of George Orwell in whatever way interests you most.

You may choose to:

• Watch the documentary film Orwell: 2+2=5 (2025)
• Watch the film adaptation 1984 (released in 1984)
• Watch the earlier 1956 film version of 1984
• Read Orwell’s novel 1984 (published in 1949)

Or, feel free to simply join us to enjoy a beverage and listen in on what is sure to be a lively and thought-provoking discussion. Both the novel and the films examine the nature of truth, facts, and power, and how they can be shaped—or manipulated—within society.
